When happytans started, back in 2015, I (now we) had the grand vision of helping spray tan business owners grow their businesses through our website services and the happytans podcast.

We had a mission to make sure to leave everyone with a smile on their face while providing top-notch service and experiences to all of our clients.

While not much has changed as far as our mission goes, we have seen the need to allow more room for growth; new industries, designs, and tools.

After years of thinking on the topic, we decided that it was time to take the happytans philosophy, and name, to the next level.  That meant opening up our services for a vast array of beauty niches that we already served, but didn’t make evident.

Time and time again, we received the same message from potential clients:

“I do spray tans, but I also do these other services….can you still help me?”

The answer was always the same – absolutely, yes!  While it was obvious to us that we could essentially serve any beauty industry, it wasn’t obvious to others.  That is why we are happy to announce our change in our name from happytans to gohappybeauty!

What’s changed and what hasn’t

For existing happytans website clients, nothing will immediately change for you.  The current system that powers our client’s websites has been online since 2017 so while it’s stable and functional, there are many more tools that we can leverage moving forward.

Overtime, we plan to migrate everyone over to the new platform but there is no immediate need to, nor are you going to miss out on anything.

One of the new features of gohappybeauty is our e-commerce addon that allows you to sell your products directly through your website.  Since this requires additional software, resources and support, there is a need to move your site to the new platform to use the system.

If you’re interested, you can simply let us know here.  Existing happytans clients will also receive a discount on the e-commerce plan price as the prices for gohappybeauty have increased.

Why the new pricing for new clients?

We haven’t raised our prices in over 6 years and while everything has increased in pricing, our services have not.

Since happytans launched back in 2015, we have evolved from a strictly “do it yourself” platform to the opposite – a complete “done for you” white-glove service offer.  This means, you are no longer required to build your website on your own.  Our team of expert designers and developers will do it for you.

Why the change in model?

We analyzed all of the accounts on our system over a period of time and realized that the clients that got the best return on investment (ROI) from their website were the ones that took the advantage of our “done for you” package.

At our core, we want to do what’s best for our clients which led us to the decision to only offer the done for you service.

If I migrate my website, will I notice a change?

Yes, and no.  While the underlying tech will stay the same, we’ve certainly upgraded a ton “under the hood”, but it won’t seem very different to our clients.

Most of the existing items will remain and/or improve outside our built-in analytics platform and the e-commerce add-on.

What is the new pricing?

Below is an outline for the new pricing we’re offering for new clients only:

  • Bronze website – Old price: $29/month, New price: $39/month
  • Gold website – Old price: N/A, New price $59/month (includes e-commerce addon)
